WHAT WE DO

Dave and Lisa Wagner moved to Des Moines after living in Chicago for 20 years doing music and theater. Lisa grew up in Des Moines and loves being back. It has been their dream to merge their passion and experience in the arts with their corporate experience. Wagner Summer Theater is the beginning of a fun new performing arts program. After a pilot program in 2017, they decided to continue to grow the endeavor. Dave has a vocal performance degree and has performed at prestigious venues across the nation such as Carnegie hall, philharmonic, and a stint on broadway. Lisa has a musical theater and business background.

Our Mission

Wagner Summer Theater offers premium, unique, artistic experiences around performing arts for children of all ages. Our goal is to expose children to all areas of the performing arts and allow them to gain an understanding of the dynamics and technical aspects of performing.  This will include several mediums including television, film and theater/stage performance and music. Some camps will include mentorships from industry partners.
